Rain splashed,
washing their faces.
clearing the cob,
webs of life away.
preparing them for,

Analysis/ Review of the poem.
This simple poem written by Heather Burns, on preparing the youths for a better tomorrow. This is couplets, a poem of two line each. It's written in five stanzas. The poets tone is filled of hope and it language are simple and direct.
The theme of the poem is very simple to indicate and straightforward. The poem talks about the transition that will take place in this generation. From bitterness to happiness, from bad to good, from low to high, etc This is a quick change that will upset that status quo and birth a positive change in the world we inhabit and this change will also transform the lives of this young people. The poem give a sense of hope.
However, before this change takes place, there is need to prepare ourselves (especially the youth) for it. This preparation show a sign of faith, taking all memories and all things aways and explore something new that will bring development and a change of destinies.
