It is a poem that encourages every youth who is on journey of life to become who are designed to be in life. The poet simply pinpoint the importance of self determination and conviction in pursuit of one’s goals or dream. The poem highlights the power we have over our dream and future. Looking that first and second line, it says “We write our own story, We own our own glory” meaning that we have what it takes to become what we desire to be in life. Youths who wish to become a star in life, should also understand that they have the light in them that shines brighter than stars and that their potentials. It just have to believe in themselves (because they are gift, talented and blessed) and work it out it. See line 5 & 6 “The we carry light within us that shines, Brighter than the galaxies we see.”
This is a poem that enlightened youths to see the brighter side of their life and how they are endowed with so much grace (gifts and talent), it is left for them to willingly embrace it and work it into reality. The poet strike a point in “Walk the path of destiny hand and hand. And fill up your glass of your purpose with passion”. Every youth in the world should dare walk in what they destined to be because that what bring in fulfillment in life. Every Youths are born for reason and that reason/purpose is their destiny and they should be passionate about it. It is not an exaggeration to say that our purpose is connected to our passion. However, we are the ones to Fan the flames of passion that is tie our purpose (the very core of our existence). Youths can achieve their purpose with zeal, courage, consistency and determination.
In conclusion, the poet ended the poem with the saying “Just say a little prayer with will. For where there is a will, there is a way”. Bringing it to light to her audience, that what is takes to finish the race of destiny in life is will. Faith and Will is only two abstract factor needed in the process of the journey of life. When the poet says faith, she meant faith in oneself and in their source and willingness which depict readiness to accomplish one’s purpose in life. Every brave heart that wants to be successful and fulfilled in life, take up faith and will to start and finish their course of life.
