Analysis and Review of the poem by Okoro Amarachi Anastasia.
This is an optimistic poem that speaks words of encouragement to it readers on attitude / decision that points “never give up” in life. The point started began with instructive statement that says “no matter what is going on, Never give up” and that what form the bedrock or the theme of the poem. The diction/language of the poem is simple and directive, written in a narrative form. The poet speaks as an advisor and someone who has influence on the readers. The poem has no regular rhyme scheme and it is written in a prose style. Repetition of the phrase “Never give up” resonate in the poem, making the theme of the poem more visible.
Other theme of poem can seen other stanzas. Like in stanza two, the speaker simply suggest to the reader to spent developing the heart instead the mind because we heart is where decision are made from. That’s where our conviction is built. The poet admit that we spend more
time developing the mind (in term of reading and knowledge) instead of the heart. In stanza three, put out to its audience that they should be compassionate, repeating twice for emphasis sake. Here, we should be compassionate to everyone, not just to our friends. The truth is that it is easier to love and be kind to our friends/loved ones than to stranger. However, the world grow to be a better place when you show that same kindness and compassion to all.

Finally, he speaker continues with the wisdom that proclaim that we should not give up, no matter what happens in life. And that what every youth is learn from, and live by.
